The Intel Sandy Bridge flaw has lead to a recall and the cost is said to be around $1 billion. This has now led to a delay in shipments, and will surly have a knock-on effect throughout the market? The delay in new models is likely to last at least three months, and could falter PC growth, which as we know needs all the help it can get at the moment.
The Guardian reports that Sandy Bridge was launched in January and what was thought to be a great design has now turned into a disaster for Intel. Some of us would have not noticed the flaws right away, but the chipmaker said that they would have appeared over time, which would have affected how it connects to DVD and hard drives.
